2. What Data We Collect
- Account information — your email address and sign-in credentials, including the link to your Apple or Google account if you sign in that way.
- Profile — your subscription status and your referral code.
- AI Oral Examiner session records — your sessions, scores, grades and examiner commentary, held on our servers so you can review them.
- Audio — spoken answers you give to the AI Oral Examiner. These are processed in real time to produce your grading report and are not stored permanently on our servers.
- Referral records — if you share or redeem a HELM referral code.
- Crash and diagnostic reports — anonymous. They carry no name, email or account identifier and cannot be traced back to you.
- Stored on your device, not on our servers — your study progress, flashcard scheduling, mock exam results, readiness score and downloaded bridge reference content.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide HELM — signing you in, keeping your place across the sixteen modules, and unlocking Premium where applicable.
- To grade AI Oral Examiner sessions and return your verdict, score and examiner commentary.
- To manage your subscription and restore purchases.
- To send study reminder notifications (only if you opt in).
- To diagnose faults and improve app stability.
- To process referrals (if you share or use a referral code).
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with any third party beyond the processors listed below.
4. Third-Party Processors
- Supabase — database and authentication (EU region).
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Anthropic — AI responses in the Oral Simulator. Audio is sent over HTTPS and processed in accordance with Anthropic's privacy policy. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models under the standard API terms.
- Sentry — crash reporting.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications, App Store payments.
- Google — Sign in with Google.
5. Data Retention
Your account and the data we hold on our servers exist for as long as your account does. You can delete your account inside HELM at any time — Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate, applies across every device, and cannot be undone. Study progress and reference content held on your device are erased as part of the same deletion. Anonymous crash and diagnostic reports may be kept for up to 90 days. Purchase records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat are outside our control and are retained so refunds, chargebacks and billing disputes can be resolved — ask us and we will have the RevenueCat records erased too.
Step-by-step instructions, and the full list of what is erased and what is kept, are on the HELM account deletion page.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are based in the UK or EEA you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (right to erasure).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@azimuthsystemsltd.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK) or your local supervisory authority.
7. Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard encryption and row-level security in our database to protect your information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Privacy FAQ
What does HELM keep on my device rather than on your servers?
Your study progress, flashcard scheduling, mock exam results, readiness score and any downloaded bridge reference content are stored on your device. They never reach our servers, which is why the offline reference works with no connection at all.
What happens to my AI Oral Examiner recordings?
Your spoken answer is sent over HTTPS, transcribed and assessed in real time so the examiner can grade it. The audio is not kept permanently on our servers. The resulting session records — scores, grades and commentary — are retained so you can review them, and are deleted with your account.
Can I delete my HELM account and data?
Yes, from Settings → Account → Delete account inside HELM — it takes effect immediately. If you can no longer sign in, email info@azimuthsystemsltd.com and we will complete it within 30 days. Full detail is on the HELM account deletion page.
Do you sell my data or use it for advertising?
No. HELM carries no advertising and we do not sell or share your data with anyone beyond the processors listed above.
